What are some moments that stand out to you as “the beginning” for some of your stories? A moment in time when the author recognizes the potential for a story to become something more than idea. Looking back, that was probably kind of awful of me, but in my defense that book is amazing (not to mention my favorite HP book).ĥ. I had two friends over to spend the night, but I sort of ignored them to keep reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I was starting my junior year of high school the next day. I remember the first time I stayed up all night to finish a book. What is your favorite memory related to reading or books? The tools are so crude, and yet blacksmiths were able to make fierce weaponry back in the day!Ĥ. Lately, I’ve been watching videos on how iron was turned into steel, and it’s absolutely fascinating. I love discovering facts about how people way back when were able to do things with such limited resources. What is your favorite thing about background research for a new book?
